As others have said, there is no problem with ONE tribble. However, they are born pregnant, so you will have a problem soon. And you really should not feed them. Other than than, go for it.
I was gifted one of the small tribbles used on the show. Since it ate the poisoned quadrotriticale, I have no problems with it, but then it does not purr or move at all. Sigh.
